RLGSOA Conference Wednesday 20th April 2011 at the Leigh Sports Village
The Rugby League Ground Safety Officers' Association was first established in April 1997 to provide a suitable forum to debate matters of mutual concern, to
facilitate the sharing of ideas and practices, to discuss the training requirements of
safety officers and stewards, to establish common practice in the area of ground safety
procedures and to formulate a consensus which might be applied to negotiations with all
relevant authorities.
RLGSOA Conferences
The RLGSOA has organised a joint Conference and Exhibition on an annual
basis since 2003 at the following venues.
Delegates have attended from a wide range of organisations including the emergency
services, members of Local Safety Advisory Groups, Architects, Insurance Representatives
etc. Members of other Sporting Safety Associations are also warmly welcomed. The
conferences have also been generously supported by Exhibiting Companies in the field of
Safety.
